Diabetes Australia-NSW is pleased to announce an exciting educational initiative: the webcast of some of the presentations of the annual Diabetes and Diabesity Update Day conference which was held on November 18, 2006 in Eveleigh, Sydney South. This initiative of providing webcasts of our events will allow us to greatly extend the reach of specialised educational content provided by the healthcare professionals that have given so generously of their time to share their knowledge and passion during the Diabetes and Diabesity Update Day annual conference.

Diabetes is a complex chronic disease presenting a serious challenge to the medical profession, the health system and to the rapidly growing number of Australians at risk of developing diabetes. The number of people with all forms of diabetes particularly type 2, type 1 and gestational diabetes are increasing, making the day very relevant.

As an attendee of the 2006 conference or as a new member wishing to attend our future annual events, you have the privilege of viewing some of these expert talks from your home/office. By clicking on the Listing of Presentations tab above, you will have instant access to various multimedia presentations as well as take part in interactive quizzes that have been developed by the speakers themselves in order to evaluate your attained knowledge of these presentations.
