Biography
 Dr. Diego Ripamonti, Italy  

Dr Ripamonti graduated in Medicine in 1993 (registered Medical Boarding in Bergamo, Italy)
Specialized in Infectious Diseases in 1999 (main field of interest: HIV infection).
He currently works as Infectious Diseases Consultant at the Ospedali Riuniti di Bergamo, Bergamo, Italy.
He has published more than 100 scientific papers and he has been co-investigator in several phase III clinical studies for antiretrovirals.

The research activity of dr Ripamonti has focused mainly on:
- Clinical trials on the treatment of HIV infection (efficacy, toxicity, adherence).
- Pharmacokinetics of antiretrovirals.
- Dual HIV regimens and monotherapy.
- HIV treatment in pregnancy.

Dr Ripamonti is directly involved in the clinical care of more than 500 HIV infected patients in the Outpatient Unit of Ospedali Riuniti di Bergamo, where more than 2000 patients are currently followed up.
