When we should not stop HAART after delivery if HAART was prescribed to prevent mother to child transmission.

The aim of our work was to study the progression of HIV-infection in women during pregnancy and postpartum.

55 HIV-positive women without standard (recommended) HAART indications were followed up before, during pregnancy and postpartum up to 1200 days after delivery. All received short-term HAART initiated at week 26 of gestation that was stopped after delivery.
The population was divided into 3 groups:
Group 1 (green line) represents women who had CD4 cell count less then 600 cells/
