Dr Nikolaos Samaras studied medicine at the Louis Pasteur university in Strasbourg where he also trained as a resident in General Medicine and a fellow in Gerontology. Since 2006, he pursued his medical training in Switzerland (Geneva and Lausanne) where he obtained the specialty of Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Geriatrics. During his medical training he followed specific courses and obtained university diplomas on diabetology, rheumatology, geriatric psychiatry and cognitive disorders from the “Louis Pasteur” university and the “Pierre et Marie Curie” university. He also obtained the diploma of the”American Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine”. He is the author of medical articles published in various international scientific journals on subjects such as “old age depression”, “geriatric assessment” and “hormonal aging”. For the past two years he holds a position of senior registrar in the Geriatrics ward of the Geneva University Hospital.
