Abstract:The author presents the case of an unusual finding of myxoependimoma due to the lesion of a tumor during a spinal block. a 33 years old male patient.
The patient, a 33 years old male patient, underwent spinal anesthesia for operative fixation of tibial shaft fracture.
On the third day after surgery the patient started to complain of paraesthesia in the lower extremities followed by severe motor and sensitive compromission to both legs. MR scan showed an image suggesting subdural haematoma
Urgent surgical decompression revealed a large tumor (ependimoma myxopapillar)from L2\\ L5 to S1 with an hematoma in the lower part, coinciding with ,the location of spinal anesthesia.
