Géraldine Blanchard-Rohner, MD DPhil, completed her medical studies at the University of Geneva in 2005. Upon completion of her MD thesis in Vaccinology under the supervision of Professor Claire-Anne Siegrist she joined the Oxford Vaccine Group and wrote a DPhil thesis under the supervision of Professor Andrew Pollard on persistence of protection against invasive bacteria, in particular on the memory B cell responses in infants after immunisation with protein polysaccharide conjugate vaccine. In 2009 she received her DPhil degree from the University of Oxford. Since then she has been working as a medical doctor in the department of Paediatrics of the University Hospital of Geneva, developing in parallel her research agenda in Paediatric Infectious Diseases and Vaccine Immunobiology.
