After retiring as a neonatologist, I have been examining the epidemiology of various issues in child protection. I have published 3 papers on oronasal haemorrhage in infancy and its association with trauma and suffocation, and am now working on the differentiatin of salt poisoning and type 2 osmoreceptor dysfunction in the differential diagnosis of hypernatraemia.
