As president-elect of the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), I'm pleased to welcome you to the webcast of the historic 1st International Diabetes in Indigenous Peoples Forum hosted by Diabetes Australia. This conference marked the beginning of an IDF task force on indigenous health, and was designed to address relevant issues in the ongoing battle against the devastating impact of diabetes felt in indigenous populations throughout the world.
