2nd International Diabetes in Indigenous Peoples Forum: International Best Practices
Welcome Message

Dear Colleagues,

As the Chair of the 2nd International Diabetes in Indigenous Peoples Forum hosted by the Institute of Aboriginal Health at the University of British Columbia and held under the auspices of the International Diabetes Federation, it is my pleasure to welcome you to this conference webcast.

The conference was designed to highlight issues related to the epidemic of diabetes experienced by indigenous populations throughout the world and to showcase best practices and community-based projects that have shown promise in this ongoing battle.

In this webcast you will be able to view all the plenary presentations by clicking on the LIST OF PRESENTATIONS tab. For selected talks, the PowerPoint slides are available for download as well. And thanks to a newly available technology (the Search'n BuildTM) you can now build a unique collection of slides with voiceover based on a simple keyword search: Click here to try it!

You are also invited to participate in a discussion with fellow viewers by using the Discussion Forum tab at the top of this page or by submitting a question/comment using the Ask the Forum tab when viewing a presentation.

When you register on this site we request an e-mail address for security purposes. We will not distribute it or use it to contact you without your permission for purposes other than site administration.

We would like to thank all our speakers for their excellent presentations which made the conference so successful and for their permission to offer their material on this webcast.

We hope that the format of this webcast will enhance your learning experience and that the content will meet your educational needs.

Best regards,

Jay Wortman MD
Conference Chair
